Starting Over

So, I am starting over.  Today was day one of eating right and exercising...again, and tomorrow I am quitting smoking!  I know that I can do both!!!  If you are still checking my blog  Thank You!  It means that you believe in me!  I just got done taking a value clarification class at school, and it really reminded me of what I want out of life, and why I want it.  This morning for breakfast I had a bowl of cereal and a banana.  For lunch I boiled some eggs and took two of them and added some mustard and mashed them up, then I ate them on a few triscuits.  I also had a yogurt.  For dinner I made peach pork chops, brown rice, and green beans.  For a snack I ate a little bit of dry cereal.  I will be discovering new recipes, as I want to enjoy my food, and have always loved the web site http://www.allrecipes.com/.  They have a healthy meals section chalked full of great ideas.

Busy bee...

So I haven't blogged in over a week!  I was busy planning and celebrating my son's 5th birthday!  I can't believe that he is already 5yrs old.   Anyways, I have been doing the Wii Fit still, almost everyday.  I haven't really lost or gained since my last post, but it doesn't really suprise me because of all the birthday goodies :)  I know, I need more self control  :/   I will post more tomorrow.....

Oh ya baby!

So, I have been feeling under the weather the past few days.  I literally slept almost all day and night yesterday!  Needless to say, I did not work out, or eat much.  I am feeling a little bit better today.  My mom and I did the wii fit again today, and it said that I had lost 5lbs!!!  WooHooo!!!  I am sooo excited :)  I have not ate very much today, just half a banana and some chicken and rice.  I know it is not good to not eat very much, but with me not feeling good, my appetite and energy are very low.  I am planning to keep doing to wii fit, and eating well.  I can do this, I need to do this. I WANT TO DO THIS!

Wii time

So for the past few days my mom and I got the wii out and started doing wii fit.  We hadn't done it in a year!  It is so much fun, I am not sure why we stopped doing it.  My weight so far has not gone down, but it has not gone up either :)  Today I did 20mins of mostly aerobic and a little balancing.  For breakfast I had a bowl of cereal and coffee.  When I got home from school I made some soup because I am starting to feel a cold coming on.  Dinner was beef stew that had potatoes, stew meat, tomatoes, corn, carrots, green beans, and onions in it.  It was very yummy!  I also had a small piece of corn bread.    This is me, Holly :)  I hope that everyone is having a great day!

Confession Time...

Okay, I have fallen off my little horse!  Yesterday was my dad's birthday!  I love my daddy so much!  He is the most amazing man ever!!!  He has been a rock, an insperation, and just a wonder dad!  So for lunch yesterday we had chinese food.  I had some yummy almond fried chicken, sweet and sour chicken, rice, and crab puffs!  It was so bad and yet so good at the same time.  Then we had chocolate scotch cake and vanilla ice cream!  I knew it was wrong at the time, but I couldn't help myself!  I then took my kids to their dads house until Tuesday.  Today I slept in way too late and woke up unmotivated.  I didn't go for a walk with my mom when she asked me because I was just feeling lazy.  Sorry mom.  I didn't really eat anything until about 5pm, which is really bad, because it makes my metabolism do nothing.  For dinner I just had a bowl of Life cereal with milk.  Needless to say that I need to get motivated again.  My highlight of the day was that an old family friend sent me flowers to say how proud she was of me for blogging and trying to get my weight under control. Thanks Kathy!!!  It was like a slap in the face!  I can do this, I need to do this, and I want to do this.  Tomorrow is a new day, and I will look it straight in the face and take back control.  I AM WORTH IT!!!

Bad Night...

Today was a beautiful day outside, the sun was shining, the kids rode their bikes outside, and it was a little warm too!  Everything was great until about 5pm.  My 3yr old, Abby, began having crying fits (which she has been doing now for about a week.)  I decided to make the kids mac and cheese with green beans and applesause, their favorite, to see if it would lift her mood.  I had a little myself.  My 4yr old ,Will, was being his sweet self, but Abby would not let up.  She would just break down crying over every little thing!  Not to mention that I have pms and cramps!  Bedtime was a fight with Abby, she would just cry saying that she wanted me to sleep with her and that she missed me.  After getting out of bed a few times, she finally fell asleep :)  Aahhh...Peace.  I took out my stressful evening out on some sweet potatoe chips....

Feeling kinda blah

I didn't post yesterday, but I am back today.  I am feeling kinda blah.  Yesterday I went for a walk with my mom and really enjoyed it, even though it was cold outside.  I would rather have the weather be a little cold than too hot.  Last night I had a baked potatoe with brocolli on it, a small piece of steak, and a spinich salad...Yum!  However, I did have a evening snack around 9pm that consisted of a homemade delicious pickle and peanut butter.  This morning I had a bowl of cereal with milk.  For lunch I had a banana and some rice with chicken.  No weight gain or loss, but that is ok.    I CAN DO THIS, I WANT TO DO THIS, I AM WORTH IT!   :)

Day 3

I got on the scale today and I weighted 313.6!!!  WoooHooo  :)  Last night I had spagetti with spinach salad and corn.  This morning I ate a bowl of Life cereal and a banana.  However, around 10:30am I started throwing up :( ... I think I have a little stomach bug.  Hopefully it will pass quickly.  I am feeling really good otherwise.  My motivation is high and so far I am enjoying my experience :)  TTYL
Okay, my tummy is feeling better :)  For lunch I had a half a sandwich that had ham, cheese, lettuce, and a little bit of miracle whip on a piece of Daves killer bread.  Snack I had a handful of sweet potatoe chips.  Dinner was brown rice, baked chicken, and carrots.   When my sweet tooth kicks in I eat one dark chocolate covered Acai berry.  Today I have had 2 of them.  Feeling good!!!

One pound down!

Well this morning when i stepped on the scale...I was a pound lighter!  Yes, the number read 315.6!  Very exciting :)  I know that one pound is not much in the grand scheme of things, but every pound will add up!   Write more later.
OMG...I can't believe I posted this on facebook!  No turning back now..lol :)  For breakfast this morning I had a bowl of Life cereal and part of a banana.  For lunch today I really really wanted to go to Burgerville to try there new ham and havarti sandwhich, but than I remembered about this blog.  I came home and made a spinich salad with baked chicken, almonds, dried cherries, and some homemade honey mustard dressing.  The dressing was made with raw honey.  For a snack, an apple :)-   I watched my niece all day, took Abby to school, had a visit with Will's teacher.  Best of all I got to Skype with Hannah for the first time since she has been in Thailand!!!  I love her and miss her sooo much!  Overall, it has been a very good day!   Love for everyone and myself... I CAN DO THIS!!!

There is no time like the present to start...

I know that I need to loose weight, I have know this for 13yrs!  Well, I am finally ready to shed my pounds :)  I am a single mother of two young kids, and I have to be there for them.  I want to be able to run, jump, chase, and just enjoy all the things with them that most moms do.  I want to be there super role-model mama!  I love sweets, and eating late at night, so this is what I am going to tackle first.  Don't get me wrong, I will be eating a little healthier overall, but I have to start somewhere.  I will be weighing myself everymorning and keep you posted.  This morning I weight 316.8!   I know that this journey will not be easy, and that it will have it ups and downs, buy I HAVE to do this.   This is the first blog that I have ever done, and I hope that just by writing about my experience will help keep me on track.  Wish me Luck!
